Privacy policy.
This is how we handle the details you share with New Breed of Engineers through this website and our LinkedIn lead forms.
Who is responsible
HeadForward B.V., trading as New Breed of Engineers, is responsible for the personal information covered by this notice. You can contact us about your information or this policy at daniel@newbreedofengineers.com.
What we collect
- Website invitation requests: your name, email address, LinkedIn profile URL and phone number. We also record when you submit your request.
- LinkedIn lead forms: the details shown in the form that you choose to submit, such as your name, work email and professional information, together with any answers and consent choices. LinkedIn supplies these details to us after you submit the form.
- Correspondence: information you include when you contact us and our replies.
- Technical information: our service providers process information needed to deliver and protect the website, which may include your IP address, browser information and request logs.
You choose whether to submit a form. All four fields in the website invitation form are required to review your request and contact you about it. Without these details, we cannot process the request.
How and why we use it
We use invitation requests and correspondence to respond to you, review your interest in the community and arrange the next steps you requested. Our lawful basis is our legitimate interest in running the community and responding to people who contact us.
When you subscribe through our LinkedIn lead forms, we use your details to send NBE event and community updates until you unsubscribe. These updates rely on your consent. You can withdraw that consent at any time by contacting daniel@newbreedofengineers.com or using an unsubscribe option in the message. Withdrawing consent does not affect processing that was lawful before withdrawal.
The website invitation form does not sign you up for a newsletter or automatically make you a member.
We also use necessary technical information to keep the site working and prevent abuse, based on our legitimate interest in operating a secure service. We may retain information where necessary to meet a legal obligation or deal with a legal claim. We do not make decisions with legal or similarly significant effects on you solely by automated means.
Who handles your information
Our team and service providers handle information as needed to run the website and respond to requests. The website is hosted on Railway; website invitation requests are stored using our signup service and Cloudflare D1. LinkedIn hosts its own lead forms and makes submitted leads available to us.
Submitting a form does not give an event sponsor permission to use your details for its own marketing. Any such use needs a separate, clear explanation and appropriate permission. We may disclose information when required by law.
These providers may process information outside the European Economic Area or the UK, including in the United States. Their published terms describe safeguards for covered transfers, including Standard Contractual Clauses and, where applicable, adequacy frameworks. Contact us for details of the arrangements relevant to your information. Provider information is available in the Railway data processing agreement, Cloudflare data processing agreement and LinkedIn privacy policy.
How long we keep it
We keep invitation requests and correspondence for as long as needed to handle the request and any resulting community relationship. The relevant period depends on whether the request is still active, whether we are still in contact and whether information is needed for a legal obligation or claim.
If you choose to receive updates, we use your contact details for that purpose until you withdraw consent or we stop providing the updates. We may keep a limited record of your consent or opt-out where needed to respect your choice and demonstrate how we handled it. You can ask us to delete information at any time.
Your choices and rights
Depending on the circumstances, you can ask to access, correct or delete your information, restrict its use, receive a portable copy, or object to processing based on legitimate interests. You can object to direct marketing at any time.
Send requests to daniel@newbreedofengineers.com. We may need to verify your identity before responding. We normally respond within one month; if the law allows extra time for a complex request, we will explain why.
You can also complain to the Autoriteit Persoonsgegevens in the Netherlands, the Information Commissioner’s Office in the UK, or your local data protection authority.
Cookies and other websites
This website does not currently use analytics or advertising trackers. LinkedIn and other websites you visit through our links have their own privacy and cookie practices; their notices explain how they handle your information.

We will update this page if our practices change. The date above shows when this version was last updated.
